Moriah Muscaro Selected for WLN's National Honor Society
Congratulations to Moriah Muscaro on her recent selection to the WLN Chapter of the National Honor Society. Moriah earned this prestigious honor through a rigorous selection process. Through Moriah's academic excellence, superior citizenship, and involvement in her school, Moriah was selected for this elite group.
Moriah is a three-time section leader of the WLN Majorettes, member of WLN's highest band - Wind Ensemble, vice president of Interact, member of the French Club, member of the 2010 WLN Musical Pit, and Huron Valley Hospital volunteer. Moriah is a straight A student taking honors and AP courses. Moriah is also a state champion baton twirler and national semi-finalist. She is also the 2009 NBTA Corps Member of the Year and the 2009 WTA Miss High School Majorette.
Moriah is a junior baton teacher for the Twirl-M's, where she has been a member since the group's inception over 10 years ago.
Moriah is just finishing her junior year in high school and plans to attend college after her senior year in high school to pursue a career in the medical field.
Muscaro has been named a member of the 2010/2011 WLN National Honor Society.

Rachel Gatny Inducted into the Class of 2009 Women Who Make Magic!
Rachel Gatny, Twirl-M's long-time instructor, received a very special award in early June from Magic 105.1. She was recognized as one of 32 women in our community who "Makes Magic".
Nominated by her mother, Mary Ellen, Rachel received the award for her dedicated service to young people, for her unselfish care of her mother during cancer treatments, and for her commitment to supporting cancer walks and runs. Several of the Twirl-M's joined in the celebration with the help and leadership of Mitzi Miles, Twirl-M's mom and DJ at Magic 105.1.
It was a great night celebrating Miss Rachel's superior example of kindness, dedication, citizenship, and volunteerism.

Sami Hays Selected for National Honor Society
A special congratulations to Sami Hays who was selected for WLN's National Honor Society. Sami was chosen from dozens of applicants for her outstanding scholastic achievements at WLN in addition to her many extra activities. Those include a member of the school's musical production team, women's choir ensemble, marching band and majorette line. Sami is also a member of the Twirl-M's Team, an advance-level individual twirler, and a junior teacher for the Twirl-M's!

Meghan Shaffer is heading to University of Michigan. She was recently accepted and after visiting the campus decided that this was the place for her. Meghan is a co-section leader of the WLN Majorettes, the Senior Intermediate Michigan Solo, Strut, and Best Appearing Winner. She has recently retired from twirling and is now an instructor for the Twirl-M's!! Congratulations Meghan and Go Wolverines!!

The Twirl-M's students did very well at the 2007 MI NBTA State Championship contest held mid November. The group captured three state championships, nine state titles, four grand national qualifiers, and numerous state finalists. Fabulous job to high school band musicians Amanda Hunter and Moriah Muscaro. Both competed in the MSBOA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Walled Lake Northern High School on Feb 2nd. Both received a "1", the highest rating for their solos...Amanda on her oboe and Moriah on her flute. Both were accompanied by Amanda's mom, Mrs. Hunter, who plated piano for 23 solos and ensembles. Congratulations to Amanda and Moriah AND to Mrs. Hunter!!
